Golfers Tee up for Tampa’s Top Courses
Florida has no shortage of golf courses. In fact, more than 40 million rounds of golf are played in the state each year. And Tampa has its share of exceptional courses, both public and private.
The USA Today newspaper ranked its 10 best courses. At number one - Cooperhead at Westin Innisbrook Resort. The newspaper noted that this favorite PGA Tour stop might be “the best round of golf you ever play.” Lots of other residents and visitors must feel the same, as tee times need to be scheduled well in advance.
Other notable courses in the listing include The Claw at University of South Florida, highlighted for its designation as a certified Audubon animal sanctuary, and the TPC of Tampa Bay, one of the toughest courses in town. So grab your clubs and take a swing at these exceptional courses.
