Opened in 2009 and named after a local philanthropist and businessman, Dick Stowers Elementary has already earned an “A” rating from the State of Florida, quite an accomplishment for a first-year school. Students, teachers and parents have worked hard to establish an excellent school that enjoys the latest technology in the media center and library. Stowers Elementary is part of a joint-campus effort with Barrington Middle School and recently won a 2010 Architectural Showcase award from the FEFPA (Florida Educational Facilities Planners Association) for design.
