Newsome strives to meet the needs of every student, offering enhanced programming including Advanced Placement and AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination). On the athletic fields, the Wolves excel as well. The football team won District two years in a row, and boys' and girls' soccer were also District champs in 2009/10. And, for the second year in a row, Newsome was named to Newsweek magazine's Top 1,000 Schools in the Nation for the 2009/10 school year.
